Coastal Fog Productions is owned and operated by principal designer Cris Mitchell. Cris’s career spans over 20 years in the creative industry, working for companies such as Pacific Bell, Mackie Designs, Outdoor Publications Inc., eCharge Corporation and EnCompass Globalization.

Where we’ve been…
Originally founded in the wine country of Sonoma County in 1995, Coastal Fog Productions relocated it’s offices in the summer of 2002 to the beautiful Central Coast of California. Now located in Pismo Beach, California, we continue to provide the same level of excellent service to our new customers and friends here on the Central Coast.
Awards and Accomplishments
In July 2002, Cris finished a two-year assignment as Web/Video/Multimedia Development Director for Mackie Designs in Woodinville, Washington. Mackie Designs is an international manufacturing company, specializing in audio consoles and speakers used mostly by professional musicians, recording studios, live clubs, theaters, and arenas.
In November of 2004, Cris was awarded Judges Pick for his entry “Finger of God” in the Annual New Times Photography Competition. Cris also receives winning entries in the Color Landscape and B/W Landscape categories.
In June of 2005, Cris completed a 14 month assignment as 1 of 3 official press pool videographers for the Michael Jackson criminal trial in Santa Maria, Ca. Cris’s footage provided to every major network across the globe.
In November 2005, Cris takes 2nd Place in the Annual New Times Photo Competition, Professional Landscape division.
In July 2006 Coastal Fog Productions launches ProPhotoResource.com a resource site to help professional photographers and serious amateurs alike. In 2010 we have over 15k members and serve over a quarter million visitors through the site each month.
In September 2010 Coastal Fog Productions launches the sister site to ProPhotoResource.com, ProPhotoPublishing.com and has quickly become the number one resource on the internet for educational photography ebooks.

The Whole Package
One of the things that makes Coastal Fog Productions unique is that we don’t just create great designs. We have the ability to complement our design work with great programming and development. But perhaps what is even more important is that every design and every element is created with your end business goals in mind. That’s right. We design, develop, and make sure you make money (if that’s what you’re after of course). After all, what good is a pretty picture if it does not work or save or make you money?
What We Do
First, what we don’t do. We don’t lecture you and what you’re doing wrong. We don’t assume that you know nothing. We don’t insist on telling you who you are. And we don’t dictate all the ways you need to change.
What we do is simple. We find out everything we can about you, because you tell us. We work alongside you to discover the essence of who you are, your unique and differentiating identity. Then we guide you as you put into words just who you are and what makes you desirably different. Along the way, we teach you valuable principles that will benefit you and your company for years.
Our specialties are: Web Design and Development and Branding and Identity Development. We also provide Internet & Search Engine Marketing, Print Design, and Graphic Design services to many of our clients.
